He was predeceased by: his wife Emily Hayes; his parents, Starling Hayes and Jimmie Hayes; his son Eric Paulus; and his siblings, Diane Todd, Joy Hayes and Ronnie Hayes.
He is survived by: his daughter Michele; his son-in-law Sammy Srisamai of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sons, Anthony (Kelly Hayes) and Scotty (Clella Hayes); and his grandchildren, Eldon and Sarah Hayes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
