He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Gurvis Cockrell and Callie Evelyn Cranfield Cockrell; and his brothers, Benny Joe Cockrell and Curt Cockrell. He is survived by: his siblings, Kay Bell of Rockmart, Nancy Stone Hampton of Rockmart, Kim Waters (Joel) of Rockmart and Larry Ray Cockrell (Patricia) of Antioch, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
