Akins Sr. (Rockmart, Georgia), born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on December 28, 2018, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Akins and Louise Long Akins; and his siblings, Charlotte Akins, Patty Akins, Donald Akins and Ronald Akins.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Akins; his children, Cindy Mallett, Lynn Wingo (Steve), Robbie Akins (Judy) and Lisa Hulsey (Jeff); his brother-in-law Henry Williams; his sister Betty Jones; his grandchildren, Jeremy Mallett (Amanda), Brandon Wingo (Dana), Amy Chandler, Miranda Thompson (Jake), Samantha Mann (Derek) and Faith Harris (Mark); and his great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Lindsey, Parker Mallett, Sarah, Gracie Mae Wingo, Taylor, Bailey Chandler, Brayden Wingo, Emerson, Easton Thompson, Cason, Ethan and Gavin Mann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
