With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Johnson Carlton of Rockmart, Georgia, who passed away on October 3, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Carney Carlton and Thomas Jefferson Carlton; his wife Jessie Hembree Carlton; his brother Louie C. Carlton; and his nephew Guy Beatty.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Linda Beatty, Jean, Pat Womack, Danny Kay, Jeffrey, Barbara Carlton, Bobby and Gayla Carlton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 388, Rockmart, GA, 30153, in memory of Mr. Carlton.
