He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoke Thomason and Verdell Wright Thomason; and his siblings, Anderson Thomason and Bobbie Sparks. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Davidson Thomason; his children, Teresa Childers and Danny Elliott (Carolyn); and his siblings, Freddie Thomason and Alline Jones. He is also survived by Six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at the New Prospect Baptist Church (750 Prospect Rd, Rockmart, GA 30153).
