He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoke Thomason and Verdell Wright Thomason; and his siblings, Anderson Thomason and Bobbie Sparks. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Davidson Thomason; his children, Teresa Childers and Danny Elliott (Carolyn); and his siblings, Freddie Thomason and Alline Jones. He is also survived by Six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
