We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2023, at the age of 79, Opal Jeannette Thompson of Rockmart, Georgia, born in Aragon, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Howard Knowles and Bertie Mae Brown Knowles; and her husband Gordon C. Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Tracy Edgar (Norman) of Newnan, GA, Jill Hayes of Rome, GA and Kristy Grant (Joey) of Lithia Springs; and her siblings, Dan Knowles and Barbara Moss. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
