He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall C. Simmons and Evie Denson Simmons; his brother Mike Simmons; and his niece Gina Rebecca Dudley. He is survived by: his siblings, Marsha Dudley (Jimmie), Greg Simmons (Danita) and Myra Simmons; his son Mitchell LeGrande; his sister-in-law Laura Simmons; and his close friend Susan Hyde. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (15 Hendrix Rd, Rockmart, GA 30153). A burial was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the East View Cemetery (905 Kingston Ave NE, Rome, GA 30161).
