She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hoyt Rainey and Margaret Jeanette Rainwater Rainey; her son Joel Lee MacSorley; her brother Wayman Rainey; and her stepmother Ethel Mae Rainey.
She is survived by: her children, William Wesley MacSorley, III (Robyn) and Mary M. MacSorley; her significant other Odell Couch; her siblings, Rickey Rainey, Janet Spigelmyer, Patsy Carter and Phillis Rainey Thompson; her grandchildren, William Wesley MacSorley, IV and Rainey E. MacSorley; and her great grandchild William Wesley "Liam" MacSorley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
