She was predeceased by: her parents, James Daniel Pinion and Pauline Edwards Pinion; her son Stephen Thaxton; the father of her children Donald V. Thaxton; her siblings, Barbara Dodd, James Pinion, Mac Pinion and Gerald Pinion; and her daughter-in-law Dianna Thaxton.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Bowman (Danny), Roy Thaxton (Theresa) and Don Thaxton; her sisters, Christine McDowell and Janie Tant; and her son Rev. Cliff Cook. She is also survived by Nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
