With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joel Jackson of Rockmart, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry U. Jackson and Carrie Sealy Jackson; his wife Carolyn Jackson; and his sister Martha Eubanks. He is survived by: his brothers, Harry U. Jackson and James Kenneth Jackson; his children, Joel Jackson, Jr. and Judy McGinnis (David); his granddaughters, Haley Henderson (Matt) and Keri Jordan (Micah); and his great grandchildren, Anna and Luke Henderson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Methodist Church (135 W Church St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (135 W Church St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A burial was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Methodist Church Cemetery (3235 Thomson Hwy, Lincolnton, GA 30817).
The family will be accepting flowers, however, memorial contributions made to Rockmart First Methodist Church.
