It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Charles Rayburn of Rockmart, Georgia, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie S. Rayburn and Gertrude Caldwell Rayburn; and his siblings, Jack, Audie "Snookum", Frank, Joe Rayburn, Grace Dunaway, Clora Campbell and Barbara Childers.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Willingham Rayburn; his daughter Valerie; his son-in-law Johnny Moates of Rockmart; his sons, Gary (Stacey Rayburn) and Chris (Brenda Rayburn); and his siblings, Teresa Smith of Rockmart, Doug Rayburn of Aragon, GA, Delmar Rayburn of Aragon, GA and Randy Rayburn of Rockmart. He is also survived by Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
