He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Atkins and Lucille Hannah Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Paula Curenton Atkins; his daughters, Stacey Atkins Lovvorn (Ben) of Rockmart and Kelley Atkins Pope (Rodney) of Rockmart; his granddaughters, Eisley Pope and Alexa Pope; his siblings, Linda Lee of Cedartown, Alice Crayton, Jim Crayton of Zebulon and Larry Atkins of Piedmont, AL; his sister-in-law Laura Curenton Snow of Cedartown; and also, Myrtice Atkins of Piedmont, AL and Darrell of Cedartown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Rockmart.
