Gerald G. Wix Obituary
Gerald G. Wix, a beloved resident of Rockmart, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on Saturday, September 3, 1949, in Villa Rica, GA, Gerald lived a life filled with love, family, and memorable experiences.
He was a dedicated Fabrication Laborer at Tingue Brown and Co., where he worked diligently for many years. Outside of his professional life, Gerald was known for his unwavering support of the Atlanta Braves, his passion for reading science fiction books, and his keen interest in Big Foot and supernatural events.
Gerald is survived by his loving children: Ricky (Tessa) Wix, Kimberly (Jonathan) Aikens, and Jamie (David) Driskell. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind numerous other family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred Wix; his siblings, Wayne Wix, Joann Mammenga, and Donny Wix; and one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Gerald at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 3 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Aikens as well as Pastor Tom Grantham. The family invites all who knew and loved Gerald to join them in remembering his remarkable life and legacy.
Arrangements are being handled by Roy Davis Funeral Home. Gerald's memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
