He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Sanders and Flora Heath; his wife Sara Eloise Crawford; his siblings, Othelia Sanders, Odoyle Sanders and Louise Christian; and his daughter-in-law Cathy Sanders.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Sanders, Victor Sanders and Pam Norton (Joel). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
