He was predeceased by: his parents, Buddy Mintz and Lenora Mintz; his wife Bettye Gurley Mintz; his grandson Matthew Benjamin Dyas; and his brother Duane Mintz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Candy Peacock (Derrick) and Mary Catherine Mintz-Holzman (Dave); his grandchildren, Quinn Dyas (Katherine), Mary Catherine Gregory (Tripp) and Bradley Peacock (Alexis); his great grandchildren, Easton Matthew Dyas and Mattie Monroe Gregory; and his siblings, Stewart Mintz (Faye) and Shirley Mintz Hansard.
