She was predeceased by: her parents, Parker Garner and Lola Thompson Garner; her husband Johnny H. Barnes; and her son Mark Barnes. She is survived by: her sons, Andy Barnes and Barry Barnes; her grandchildren, David Barnes and Janie Barnes; her great grandchildren, Allena James-Duran, Allison James and Gavin Barnes; and her siblings, Carolyn Braswell and Robert Garner. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at the Rockmart Memorial Gardens (Rockmart, GA 30153).
