It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Cope Long of Rockmart, Georgia, born in Shannon, Georgia, who passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Riley Cope and Anie Hicks Cope; her husband L. Long; her daughter Patricia Ann Winkles; and her siblings, Leroy Cope, Louise Sewell, Mae Goddard and Mary Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Bullard of Rockmart, Jackie Cope (Betty Jean) of Rockmart, Jerry Wayne Long, Sr. of Rockmart and Andy Long (Michelle) of Plainville, GA.. She is also survived by Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153).
