He was predeceased by: his father Clifford Chafin; and his grandparents, Dewey Lee Hester Sr., Georgie Walker Hester, John Chafin and Lily Wynn Chafin.
He is survived by: his mother Editha Hester Chafin; his children, Justin Chafin (Chelsea Hester), Crissy Chafin (Justin Jones) and Josh Chafin (Ashley); his grandchildren, Caedon Chafin, Maxx Chafin, Abby Melton, Emma Chafin, Ethan Chafin, Anna Kate Chafin and Brayden Munoz; and his sisters, Phyllis Chafin and Suzanne Keene (Marty).
