He was predeceased by: his parents, James "J. B." Turnipseed and Myrtis Turnipseed; and his siblings, James, George Turnipseed and Marie Underwood.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Turnipseed; his sons, Greg Turnipseed (Kari) and Joey Turnipseed (Janice); his siblings, Nancy Maddox (Johnny), Norma Turnipseed, Lebron Turnipseed (Sandy) and Tommy Turnipseed (Gina); and his grandchildren, Madison Turnipseed, Braxton Turnipseed, Tristan Carlock, Seth Carlock and Winston Turnipseed. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
