It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Hale of Rock Spring, Georgia, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Burk Elder Hale, Jr.; her children, Burk Elder Hale III and Pamela Denise Hale; her parents, Leonard Monroe Mayes Sr. and Anna Catherine Mayes; and her sister Leveta Wright.
She is survived by: her brother Leonard M. "Sonny" Mayes, Jr. (Marie) of Chickamauga. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
