With heavy hearts, we announce the death of King Mark Hoppel of Rock Spring, Georgia, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, who passed away on March 22, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Frank" Mark Hoppel and Alice Marguerite Guerin Hoppel; and his sister Lynn Hoppel. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Oberg Hansen of Rock Spring, GA.; his children, Courtney Bowers (Matt) of Ringgold, GA., Christina McGinnis (Bryson) of Huntsville, AL. and Jessica Kling of Delmar, Maryland; his stepdaughter Amy Rae Berger (Adam) of Portland, OR.; his brother Bruce Hoppel (Erin) of Norwalk, CT.; and his grandchildren, Lilly, Sam, Sarah, Evie, Ellie, Addison and Riley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Folds of Honor, an organization that provides scholarships to spouses and children of America's fallen and disabled service members.
