With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eugene Jackson Denny Jr. of Rock Spring, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his wife Linda "Gail" Strickland Denny; his siblings, John F. Denny and Irma Jean Thomas; and his daughter Jacklynn "Jackie" Denise Denny Payne. He is survived by: his son Kevin; his grandchildren, Joshua Payne (Sloan) of Madison, AL, Ashley Payne of Cookeville, TN, Austin Denny (Zoe) of Houston, TX and Madison Ingram (Will) of LaFayette, GA; his great grandchildren, Beckett, Henry Denny of Houston, Channing and Carter Payne of Madison, AL; and his nephews, David and John Denny. He is also survived by grandfather to his grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Center Grove Baptist Church (68 Center Grove Church Road, Rock Spring, AK 30739).
