He was predeceased by: his wife Violet Miller Ratledge; his parents, Elmer Ray and Sarah Jane Nance Ratledge; and his siblings, John Ratledge, Elizabeth Milsap, Louise Bridges and Hope Cline.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Marcotte (Russell) of Red Oak, TN., Sue Ratledge of Ooltewah, TN., Deta Joy Ratledge of LaFayette, GA., Thomas Edward Ratledge of Cleveland, TN., Brandy Garrett (Stephen) of Rock Spring, GA., Connie Morrison of Cleveland, TN., Brenda Payne of Cleveland, TN. and Marie Blackwell of Cleveland, TN.; his brother Joe Ratledge (Mondee) of Ringgold, GA.; and his brother-in-law Arnold Milsap Sr. of Rock Spring, GA.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
