Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Derryl leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Harkleroad and Neva Hooper Harkleroad. He is survived by: his wife Diane Harkleroad; his children, Daniel Hooper Harkleroad (Kathleen) and Derrie Harkleroad Pulver (Kurt); and his grandchildren, Ryan Dixon (Abby), Seth Dixon (Bonnie) and Ashely Harkleroad Adams (Chuck). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (4016 Tennessee Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37409).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
