He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin Gentry; his siblings, Donna Ostro and Jimmy Gentry; and his son Freddy Plank, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Starr Schrader Gentry; and his children, Brian (Melanie Gentry), Larry (Amanda Gentry), Debbie Plank, Treena (Randy Hixon), David (Amanda Plank) and Joseph Plank. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and numerous extended family & friends.
