It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny Lloyd Holt of Rock Spring, Georgia, who passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Albert and Evelyn Swanson Holt; and his sister Robin Smith. He is survived by : his wife Jayme Alt Holt; his daughters, Amber Ernest, Blair Clemmons, Brandi Wooten, Jennifer Alt and Eliza Alt; and his sisters, Sharon Fugate, Mary Lou Phlanzer and Bonnie Carter.

“Danny and I were close in high school and thereafter when I married his best friend, George Knox. He and I listened to Emerson, Lake and Palmer albums in his room, wrote poetry, and talked about the dreams we had. He was the photographer for Brainerd High School's Echo newspaper. I remember that luxuriant hair, broad smile and dapper 70's dress with that huge camera slung around his neck. We'd put poetry in one another's lockers by folding and slipping them in the vents. I miss "us".”
