He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Clifton and Maggie Bell Talley; his son Troy Talley; and his siblings, Ralph Talley and Gayle Calhoun.

He is survived by: his wife Marsha B. Talley; his daughter Faith Wray of Rochelle; and his grandchildren, Casey Driggers (Alex), Corey Talley (Kim), Sam Bell, Jr. (Alex), Tayler Talley (Alex), Maggie Santoro (Joey), Jacob Wray, Anola Talley and Kevin Conner (Jade). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
