He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" Hooks; his sons, Vaughn Hooks (Joyce) of Hinsdale, IL, Kevin Wells of Augusta, Michael Wells (Holly) of Atlanta and Bryan Wells (Beth) of Cumming; his grandchildren, Matthew Hooks, Spencer Hooks, Whitney Wells, Cecilia Wells, Hamilton Wells and Jay Wells; and his siblings, Robert H. Hooks (Brenda), Jeannette Hooks Weathersby (late Horace) and Carolyn Hooks Smith (Dwight).
