She was predeceased by: her parents, Foy Hayes and Ruby Booker Hayes; her husband James H. Tate Jr.; and her son James Emory Tate. She is survived by: her children, Gary Tate of Riverdale, Kim (Tate) and Steve Brown of Newnan, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Allison Hancock, Chris Tate, Alex and Kirsten Brown.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel (1 Bullsboro Dr, Newnan, GA 30263). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (656 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
