He was predeceased by: his father Roy Charles Sr.; and his stepparent Andrea Janell Charles of Atlanta, GA. He is survived by: his children, Eric Jamont Charles, Durand Hemminger, Dorian Howard (Alisa), Donita Renee Charles and Kerissa Charles (Twan); his stepson Lamelle Malone (Meredith); his sisters, Patsy Ross (Norman) of Los Angelas, CA., Elisa Tisdale (Bobby) and Levina Shelby (Derrick) of Rockford, IL.; and his grandchildren, Rachael Charles, Latiqa Charles, Erica Charles, Rhonda Charles, Lynda Russell, Lyndon Lambert, Treshawn Phillips, RahJahse Hayes, Christian Phillips, Diamond Charles, Tuan Charles, S'dhari Hardy, Derica Charles, Tyrin Charles, Joaquin Charles, Jermari Charles, Leilani Hemminger, Moana and Mathias Howard.

Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dortch-Williamson Funeral & Cremation Services (1410 Hwy 138 SW, Riverdale, GA 30296). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
