She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie (Flora Vaughn) and Betty; her husband Leon Cates; and her siblings, William "Bill" Vaughn, Lonnie Vaughn Jr. and Wilma Rape.
She is survived by : her children, Daniel Cates (Becky), Becky Butler (Daniel) and Laura Cates. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family & friends.
