Zachary Allen Brooks Obituary
Zachary “Zach” Allen Brooks, beloved son, brother, grandson and best friend went to be with the Angels on August 9, 2022. He leaves behind his parents, Jerry and Lorene Brooks, his sisters Jasmine Brooks and Rachel Hernandez, his beloved Grandparents, Joseph & Mary Brooks and James & Lorraine Smith, and his best friend Tyler Merfert. As well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers who loved him very much.
Zach was an avid collector of Transformers and loved classic muscle cars, especially Mustangs. He did not love easily, but those he loved he loved more than his own life. He was protective of his mother and sister and loved chilling with his father talking cars and politics. They were so proud of the man he had become.
Zach loved spending the weekends with his grandparents and talking with his Papa about the antics his Papa got into as a kid, and being called his Grandma’s “favorite boy”. His best Friend Tyler visited them and Zach, Jasmine and Tyler were called their “Three Musketeers”. There was always joy in the house when the three of them were together. It brought so much joy to everyone when their laughter would erupt.
His sense of humor, though sometimes crude, could make everyone around him laugh and he loved catching people off guard. He wanted to be a train engineer and work on classic diesel trains and travel the world visiting all the historical trains. Zach wanted to travel and visit Japan.
Though he had his flaws and his weird little quirks, he was a gifted man who could’ve taken the world by storm. He was so amazing and he was worth wonders. Zach could light up a room with his brilliant smile. He was the best son, brother, and grandson. He would’ve changed the world with his amazing self. All he had to do was say the word, think a thought, and he could do anything.
We love you Zach and wish you peace and hope you get to do all the things you dreamt of. You will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Zach on Saturday, September 17th from 12:00 noon to 4:00PM at the Lafayette Elks Lodge located at. 3158 N. Hwy 27, Lafayette, GA. 30728.
