He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Shelton and Shirley Shelton; his wife Patricia Vandergriff Shelton; and his siblings, Nancy Shelton Summers and Jimmy Shelton.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Shelton Robinson; his son-in-law Brian Robinson; his grandchildren, Julie Mae and Charlie Robinson; and his nephews, Scott Herpst and Jeff Herpst (Sharon Fincher).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the East Ridge Church of Christ (951 McBrien Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37412). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Ridge Church of Christ Lads to Leaders program.
