It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shannon Leonard Capehart of Ringgold, Georgia, who passed away on June 30, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Shannon and Mildred Louise Coulter Capehart. He is survived by: his wife Judy Pierce Capehart of Ringgold, GA.; his children, Kelly Carter of Ringgold, GA., Michael Capehart (Melissa) of Ringgold, GA and Kevin Capehart (Kristie) of Ringgold, GA.; his sister Sue Gracy of Ringgold, GA.; his grandchildren, Shelby Carter, Dusty Manly (Cody), Briar Winston (Lindsey), Bailey Winston, Brock Capehart, Baker Capehart and Baylor Capehart; and his great grandchild Magnolia Manly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“I was so sad to hear of Shannon’s passing. This is Al Kelley and I worked with Shannon at TVA for 20+ years. We were in the same Work Management Group at TVA and I was even Shannon’s boss in Chattanooga the last several years before he retired. We traveled a lot together to all the TVA Fossil Plants doing training, setting up software, and helping the Plants with their Work Management programs. I spent a lot of time with Shannon on the road attending meetings and seminars.”

Shannon would often say, when we were getting ready for a road trip, that he had his reservations but he was going anyway.”
