She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Stephens and Estelle Whaley. She is survived by: her stepfather John; her husband Deforest Montgomery; her daughters, Laura Moore (Kevin) and Shaina Johnson (Michael); and her siblings, Anita Beard, Donald Whaley, Sharon Marcus (Mark) and Teresa Glenn (Mike). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge in New Orleans.
