He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Robert Meek, Sr. and Ruby Nichols Meek; his wife Minnie; and his siblings, James Meek, Donald Meek, Marjorie Ward and Patsy Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis R. Meek (Susan) and Teresa Hensley (Jeff); his granddaughter Allison Meek Brewer (Norm); and his great grandchildren, Harrison Brewer and Barrett Brewer.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations be given to the Parkway Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
