He is survived by: his wife Pamela Sue Johnson Southerland of Ringgold, GA.; his children, Derek Southerland (Cassie) of Woodstock, GA., Danielle Cummings (Blake) of Ringgold, GA. and Kristi Rhudy (Ray) of LaFayette, GA.; and his grandchildren, Roman Southerland, Aurelia Southerland, Brittney Hampton (Jake) and Michael Daniel (Ashley). He is also survived by five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
