He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford McConathy (Jack Bean) and Louise McConathy; his former wife Jerry Sue; his sister Linda Knight (Jack); his mother-in-law Virginia Griffith; and his brother-in-law Wayne Griffith.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha McConathy of Ringgold, GA; his sister Annie Goodson (Joe Goodson) of Chickamauga, GA; his children, David McConathy of Montana, Alma Goodman (John) of Graysville, TN and Virginia Brown of Dayton, TN; and his nieces, Donna Lynn Abercrombie (Matthew), Kimberly Ann Wingo (Greg) and Jackie Flowers (Bill). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
