He was predeceased by: his father James Lynn Mincey; and his sister Martha Ann "Marty" Key. He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Key (Larry) of Rossville, GA; and his siblings, Billy Mincey of Crossville, TN, Jennifer Criss (Eddie) of Jefferson, PA and Connie Black (Pete) of Rossville, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
