He was predeceased by: his parents, James K. Steakley, Sr. and Edith F. Steakley; and his wife Susan Hicks Steakley. He is survived by: his children, James K. "Tripp" Steakley, III and Kay S. Hardeman (James); his siblings, Becky Whaley and Mike Steakley (Sandra); his grandchildren, Graham Steakley, Kendal Huber (Jake), Matthew Hardeman (Katie) and Allison Hardeman; and his great grandchildren, Makinley Steakley, Daisy Huber and Emmett Huber.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Chattanooga Theater Center or to the Alzheimer's Association of Southeast Tennessee.
