He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Beene Sparks; his children, Johnny Sparks (Shelia), Jackie Sparks (Penney) and Karen Sparks Bivens (Randy); and his siblings, Shelva "Bootsie" Paradise (Phillip) and Dorothy McLauren (Felder). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
