It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Kapherr of Ringgold, Georgia, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Kapherr and Bernice Grant Kapherr; and his granddaughter Kelsey B. Kapherr. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McRoy Kapherr; his son Mike Kapherr (Lea); his brothers, Herman (Brenda Kapherr) and Bill Kapherr (Karen); his grandchildren, Khol Kapherr (Bella), Kyle Kapherr (Josie) and Dalton Johnson (Samantha); and his great grandchildren, Kayden, Kyleigh, Khloe, Kasen, Braxton, Kelsey, Bentley and Collins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel - Ft. Oglethorpe Heritage Funeral Homes Fort Oglethorpe (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742).
Memorial contributions may be made to Cherokee Valley Baptist Church.
