He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Peterson and Jimmy Don Shepherd; his uncle Gary; his aunt Glenda Shepherd; his mother-in-law Helen Helms; his sister Nancy Mosley; and his son Joey Matthew Knowles Shepherd.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Caldwell Shepherd; his daughters, Jessica Shepherd, Sarah Ambrose and Rebecca Ambrose; his siblings, Stella Boggs, Sandy Colangelo, Sherry Steele and Daniel Shepherd; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Joey, Madi, Randy, Dominick, Cassie and Dezzy.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes - Fort Oglethorpe Chapel (555 W Cloud Springs Rd, Rossville, GA 30741). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
