He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Howard Hughett and Althea Jane Macher Hughett; his brother Robert "Bobby" Hughett; his niece April Hutson; his parents-in-law, Willie and Thelma Smithers; his sister Pauline; and his brothers-in-law, Martin Carol and Bill Smithers.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Smithers Hughett; his children, Cyndi Cisneros (Fidel), Jason Hughett (Michelle) and Jacob Hughett; his siblings, Sharon Shoopman (Kirk), Eileen Kettering (Jim), Lois Hutson (Rick) and Randy Hensel (Becky); and his grandchildren, Makenzie, Lyndsi, Daniel, Mikayla and Laney. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
