It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Cavin Jr. of Ringgold, Georgia, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on July 31, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Franklin Sr. and Virginia Hicks Cavin; his wife Janie Cavin; his former wife Patricia Cavin; and his siblings, Wayne Cavin and JoAnn Cavin.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacey Wingo (LB); his grandson John Harmon; his sisters, Pamela Headrick (Kenny) and Brenda Norris; his uncle Deacon Murphy Hicks; his significant other Eva Gann; his daughter Melissa Bartley; his nieces and nephews, Tammy, Charlie Young, Sherry McGhee (Charles), Terry Cavin, Jason and Justin Headrick; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Summer Cameron, Abby, Lexie Young (Homer), Sarah Goins, Brandon Goins and Jacob Walden (Lauren); his cousins, Janice and Mike Nowatny; his friends, John Wooden and Sunny Terrell; and also, Addie Goins, Conner Cameron and Austin Buscemi.
