He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Green Massingill and Nora Ella Massingill; his siblings, Sybil Massingill and Richard Massingill; and his grandson Justin Reid Massingill.
He is survived by: his wife Wynell "Nell" Massingill; his children, Thomas "Reid" Massingill, Randall "Randy" Grady Massingill (Pam) and Rhonda Lynn Faile (Tim); his siblings, Jerry Thomas Massingill (Susan) and Nancy Welch (Roger); his grandchildren, Rachel Massingill, Magen Faile, Taylor Massingill (Katie), Kelsey Faile and Austin Massingill (Alexis); and his great grandchildren, Evan Posey, Brantley, Hudson, Bennett, Grey and Cash Massingill.
