He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Martin Vess (late Addie Sue Johnson). He is survived by: his son Marty Vess (Sharon); his grandchildren, Josh Vess (Meghan), Heather Parr (Seth), Jake Vess (Julianna) and JT Vess; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Martin and Marilyn Vess Griffin.
