She was predeceased by: her husband James Mitchell Qualls; her parents, Leeland Ralph Pierce and Golden Geneva Harmon Pierce; her siblings, Jimmy Pierce, Patty Brown, Juanita Stokes, Gayle Link, Doug Pierce, Liddy Huskey and Johnney Beth McDaniel; and her stepdaughter Tessa O'Neal.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Cross (Ray) of Rossville, Jimmy Hughes (Brenda) of Ringgold, Ronnie Hughes (Debra) of Ringgold, Debbie Ottinger (Tim) of Ooltewah and Steve Hughes (Nicki) of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; her stepdaughters, Angie Rogers (Charles) of Sand Mountain, Tammy Gann of Rising Fawn and Michelle Rheal of Jasper, Tennessee; and her sister Cindy Black. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis-Stewart Chapel (443 Boynton Dr, Ringgold, GA 30736). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lakewood Memory Gardens – South (325 Greens Lake Rd, Rossville, GA 30741). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South (325 Greens Lake Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).
