It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Joe Garren of Ringgold, Georgia, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Dean and Alma Ruth Short Garren of Dayton, TN.. He is survived by: his wife Cheri Daffron Garren; his son Matthew A. Sylar; his daughter-in-law Rebekah Pippin Sylar; and his grandson David Allen Mathis Sylar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
