He is survived by: his wife Lisa Champion; his children, Kelsey Roddy (Joshua) and Kayla Campbell (Blade); his grandchildren, Phoebe Roddy and Rylee Campbell; his mother Susan Pearson Swinney; his siblings, Denise Hale and Charles Hale; and his pet Kane. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society dedicated to Pancreatic Cancer.
